  My wife and I love this place. We have come here several times, and are always greeted warmly, not like how they treat you at a chain restaurant. Then there is the food, always authentic. Always excellent. We will continue to go here often.

  Terrible choice for Christmas Eve. I had fond memories of eating there every Friday night in the 1980s. At that time there was nice ambiance, excellent and unobtrusive service, etc. I told my daughter that's where I wanted to go to celebrate this year. It was a madhouse--they booked more people or larger tables than they could handle. We were seated at a table for two next to a party of 16 and two large round tables. We were ignored, had to flag a bus person down to get water--the setup was incomplete. When the waiter came he acted like he was doing us a big favor and thrust menus in our hands. He never told us what the specials were. (I later heard them being told to another table.) I had asked my daughter earlier, "Don't they have any specials"? She said, Well, this is marked 'Christmas Eve'." I told the waiter that he hadn't told us what the specials of the day were. Re replied, impatiently, that we could order something else. We opted not to do that since our orders had already been placed-.-I figured we would never get dinner if we did that. My potatoes were cold, the veal which I had really looked forward to was so tough I could barely cut it. It was an altogether unpleasant and terribly disappointing experience. They shouldn't have shoved that one little table in a room with all those big groups. Did it matter that we were two females? Would we have been treated so poorly if one person had been a man? Who knows? I won't be going there again. EVER.

  Atmosphere, service is excellent. Food was good. But if you really know what is italian cuisine than you can say is just imitation of it.
